Photography is the art and practice of recording images into
pictures. The word photography comes from two ancient Greek words: photo, for
''light'' and graph, for ''drawing.'' A photograph is made when light or some
other form of radiant energy is used to record a picture of an object on a
light-sensitive surface.
Today, photography has become a means of communication,
visual expression and fine art.
